The Venue

With its mannerist architecture, Palácio de Tancos is one of the rare 16th-century buildings that withstood the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755. The story begins in 1539 as a noble house. In the 17th century, it transformed into a grand palace, home to distinguished residents over the centuries.

​

Later, the space became a school, a factory, and the headquarters for local institutions—even an art and dance studio. Despite hundreds of years of change, much of the original artistry remains intact. The palace’s diverse tile collection from the 17th to 18th centuries has been beautifully preserved, offering a stunning and historic backdrop for our evening together.
